Both Ekodeck and Ekodeck+ are made from the same composite formula and have the same look and finish. The only difference is the profile and installation method. Ekodeck+ has a groove to allow for hidden fixing using Quickfix Clips whereas Ekodeck has the standard square edge profile
Due to the reduced number of fixings required, installing Ekodeck+ using the Quickfix Hidden Fastening System makes it approximately 30% quicker to install. There is also no need for pre-drilling and countersinking – which further reduces the installation time
Ekodeck+ does not require a different or special substructure. It uses the same method as installing a traditional hardwood deck
The Quickfix Hidden Fastening System has been specially designed for use with the Ekodeck+ profile, which is available at Bunnings Warehouse
Ekodeck+ is packed with features and benefits just like the standard Ekodeck. Cleaning is easy – just wash with warm water and dishwashing liquid or use a pressure washer for an extra clean. Please see our comprehensive Care and Maintenance page for more information
To finish off your deck by adding a fascia board, you can cut off one side of the grooved edge of the board and install it, which gives you a solid edge. Alternatively you can use a standard Ekodeck board.
